FAQs
DPC
DPC stands for Direct Primary Care, which is a healthcare model where patients pay a monthly fee to a primary care provider for a comprehensive range of healthcare services. In this model, patients can have unlimited access to their primary care provider, with no additional fees for home visits. This model aims to improve the quality of care and patient experience by providing a more personalized approach to healthcare and reducing costs by cutting out the need for insurance billing and administrative costs.
STAT DPC is Trinity’s first concierge Direct Care practice. We offer a pattern of family healthcare that is immediate, thorough, comprehensive, specific, easily affordable, and very, very personal.
The terms are frequently interchanged and describe the same fundamental concepts. The Direct Primary Care model of healthcare prioritizes the patient, offering treatment when needed, without hurrying them through appointments, and taking a proactive approach to healthcare treatment plans. The provider-patient relationship is exactly as it sounds: Direct! Direct Primary Care does not accept insurance; instead, it works directly with patients and offers cost-saving measures.
Through Direct Care, we have eliminated the red tape that typically inundates providers in traditional healthcare settings with nonsensical paperwork. This has allowed us to devote more time to providing quality care to our patients. By steadfastly preserving the sanctity of the patient-provider relationship, we have revived the core values of family practice medicine, prioritizing clinical excellence and compassionate understanding of each patient. We are committed to making family and custom healthcare easily accessible, convenient, and affordable in all aspects.
Insurance
Absolutely not, and we are pleased to say so. Our care model places the most crucial emphasis on establishing a direct, personal connection between you and your provider. This directness also extends to our business model. While insurance companies may be useful in covering damages to your care, we believe they have no right to dictate the quality or cost of your family’s medical care.
We do not accept insurance payments to shield our patients from the arbitrary and invasive decisions made by third-party payers. Our fee-for-service approach also liberates us from contractual agreements that usually impede providers from offering quality care.
Yes. We recommend our patients continue a major medical plan with a high deductible and health savings account to ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary. We’re happy to refer you to insurance representatives who can help customize an insurance plan to your specific needs.
Absolutely. We’re fortunate to work with the industry leaders in health insurance who build custom plans that remove much of the waste and inefficiency from a typical, bloated policy. Ask us for more details.
Other
Certainly. It could be argued that a service tailored specifically to the individual benefits everyone. That’s why we provide truly customized healthcare at our practice. Our main goal is to maintain your overall health and improve your daily life through physical well-being. We are available for both reactive and proactive healthcare needs.
At STAT DPC, we have the luxury of time and are thrilled to offer it to you as well. We dedicate significant, irreplaceable time to you for whatever purpose you require. Every visit, regardless of the reason, will be thorough yet relaxed, with your questions answered and your current needs addressed. As time passes, we will develop a comprehensive and intimate knowledge of your health, providing invaluable insight that cannot be found in any other type of care.
Unfortunately, no. Your payments are not yet defined as a “medical expense” in most states and, as such, are not deductible. Please confer with your tax consultant to clarify tax consequences in your particular circumstances.
In providing superb care with unprecedented access, we seek to prevent or reduce hospitalizations and specialty referrals. In instances where those types of care are required, we will continue to work with your hospitalist during your hospital stay and closely with any specialist. In some cases, depending on the level of care and expertise required, we may rely on those specialized caregivers to manage your treatment.
Yes. We are happy to accept our enrolled clients’ children (2 to 18 years of age). We cannot currently provide routine vaccinations for young children, but we’ll happily work with you to arrange these.
